AH! I pwned F-zero GX's ass! Now i've unlocked Daigoroh and Princa (AKA hot!), Master class and the sounds of Mute City.

Damn, i cant play Xenosaga, even though the Boot discs have arrived and i have a switch card. Its because Xenosaga is dual layered DVD-9 game with a TOC (Table of Content) size of around 8GB, meanwhile the Swap Magic Boot Discs only have a TOC size of around 4.35GB. This means i cant play Xenosaga, although im trying to find out how i can work around it.
Wiseman, sorry to keep bothering you but, do you have any ideas?

Played a lot of FSW today. If you like RTS games, and have a XBox get it. It is really a lot of fun. Just you have to get used to the controllers since I can't think of another game out there like it.

IRT Cata: Hmm... This is what I can think of:

- To get a dual layered or hacked boot DVD... you can't burn it either. I can't offer you info on this, I don't have experience with boot disks. Try boards, more than one European imported Xenosaga and the DVD9 problems are well known.
- To find a way to use that exploit. It'll require you to burn discs to install it and to load the burnt CD-Rs with your boot disc. I can't help you on this either, I have no experience, and tried to find info for you a few days ago but didn't really find much, people are too scared to post a simple solution with a boot menu because sony has Matrix agents everywhere, and it's such a nasty company I understand why nobody wants to mess with those bastards.
- To download the ripped version of Xensoaga off eMule (it wouldn't be illegal really as you own the game but can't play it). But I don't recommend this, FMVs are supposed to be low quality.
- To get the console modded.
- If you can't find somebody to do it, there are several kinds of chips, the so-called "USB chips" are simpler to install (only a few wires, then an USB device plugged in), I think you can try installing them yourself.
- Buy an American PS2.

Ah well, thanks for the help anyway. Yeah, modding looked like the best solution. Ive been looking around online for a while, and ive not found any solutions to this problem other than burning Xenosaga to another disc - which, as you say, will cause the data quality to deteriorate.
But, one way or another, i'll get Xenosaga working before its sequel is released in the US, im determined. There are quite a few options, its just finding the one that begs of the least financial expense.

Well, in that case the first two look the cheapest but are also the hardest and least likely; the third is undesirable; fourth and sixth are most expensive; fifth is not as cheap and difficult as the first ways but not as expensive and easy as the others. I think I'd go for it in your situation. Ask in message boards what ones are the best and allow you to load DVD9s.
